Today is Day One of the fifty-day-long journey I am about to take. I feel like my weight is getting a bit out of control, so I am looking to lose about 10 lbs. in 50 days. By March 22 I think I will have my ideal body, just in time for Spring Break and Summer.

Today was just a normal day, no dieting in mind, so I can see where I need to cut calories in order to make improvements. I ate:
6 saltine crackers with cheese-200 calories
1 Apple with peanut butter-290
Special K granola bar-90
Cookie-90
Plain spaghetti-150
Corn-130
Chocolate ice cream-200
2 slices of bread-120
Butter-100
Total: 1,170 calories
So basically I’ve calculated how I’m going to reach my goal within 50 days and it appears to be that if I eat 400 less calories a day and then burn 400 more calories, I’ll be around 110 lbs. for Spring Break!! So now I just have to stop the snacking and maybe cut down on some of my meal foods. Today If I hadn’t eaten the buttered toast and the ice cream, I would be set. And for calorie burning, I can easily burn at least 400 calories on the elliptical or stair-stepper.
From now on I think I’ll be doing a weigh-in maybe once a week and I’ll try to keep a food log as often as possible. Every day is my goal but I’m not sure if that will be able to happen. We’ll see!
